When the delivery man that delivers to DIGG Childrenswear spots you on Scotch Street today and shouts across the road "Are you expecting" I thought it was time to tell my followers the news.
I have held off telling many people as the title of this blog post says. You just never know that all will be ok until you hold them in your arms. I am very cautious about pregnancy due to my own personal reasons and stories from my friends and of our customers who have been through so many hard times when it comes to bringing children into the world.
Some people have to go through so much and such heartache. Some people never get the chance to hold their own child and this stays at the forefront of my mind all the time. However, I have gotten to 14 weeks thank god and there is no hiding this bump so I knew the "perfect instagram post" was looming.
I was trying to think of a nice Instagrammable way to announce the news. You know the ones you see on other peoples pages where they get their kids to hold the scan, or they have a pink or blue balloon. As you can see from the picture that didn't happen. The boys are in their vests like Rab C Nesbitt and I had to coax Pearse to remove the football from up his vest (see below) as he was trying to look like mummy.
But I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm not the perfect Instagrammer or the perfect mummy. I'm just me trying my best to keep the whole thing afloat.
My wee baby will be due in November all being well and I can't wait to meet him or her.
To all those people who may be reading this and find it hard when yet another person announces their news. Please know that I realise how very lucky I am and I always think and pray for people who have had a hard road when it comes to pregnancy.
Thank you for always supporting me on this mad social media journey.
Follow my Instagram Stories (diggchildrenswear) for all the drama over the coming months when it comes to finding maternity wear. Not flippin easy.
