The Essential Guide To Dressing Your Boy For Holy Communion
I have been dressing boys for Holy Communio, Confirmation and weddings for eleven years now and it is unreal how things have changed in that time. Gone are the days of oversized suits and square-toed shoes.
Now our little men want to dress like Conor McGregor or Olly Murs and I love every bit of it.
A lot of parents ask the same questions when the time comes for Holy Communion and confirmation so I thought I would address all of the common issues in this blog post
When To buy?
Many Parents will state that the First Holy Communion is not until May or June and it is too early to buy. I always advise that it is not too early. At Digg Childrenswear we are able to size your child in the appropriate outfit for their special day leaving enough growing room to allow for the time frame. One of our main suiting brands 1880 Club allows a huge let down and let out in their garments which means we are never afraid of the outfit not fitting. A good stylist will allow for all of this.
Therefore my advice is if you want to make sure you get your first choice of First Holy Communion Outfit then shop early.
What is the current trend for First Holy Communion?
My answer to that this year is super smart. The trends definitely change year on year but this year the look is skinny fit suits, both checked and plain worn with the huge range of accessories available at DIGG Childrenswear. We love to style the little boys who shop with us in a way which makes them stand out from the crowd. We use our floral lapel pins, pocket watches, tie pins and pocket squares to create a statement look which makes your little man stand out from the crowd.
Mix and Match outfits are extremely popular this year. So it appears to look like a suit but it may be a smart blazer styled with a waistcoat and chinos. Again all of the accessories are used to give the outfit that point of difference.
Bright colours are back on trend this season with red chinos becoming very popular styled with a classic white shirt, bow tie and navy blazer.
We mix and match Brands such as Hugo Boss, 1880 Club, Antony Morato Kids, Billybandit, Scotch Shrunk, Guess, One Varon to create the perfect look for First Holy Communion
How much Does a Boys First Holy Communion Outfit cost?
This totally depends on what brands you decide to go with. We can style an outfit to suit many budgets. A waistcoat, shirt, bow tie and chinos can start from £100, Suits start from £115 and Blazers start from £89. We have a club facility available in store which means if you do want to leave it over and pay off the option is there for you. We do our best to work to a price range you have in mind.
These are definitely the top questions that parents ask me and I hope I have answered them for you all. If anyone has any further questions in relation to Boys Occasionwear for Confirmation, Communion or Weddings then please message me on Facebook, Instagram or Snapchat
