Gone are the days when boys wear traditional suits for First Holy Communion. I have loved watching the fashion evolve over the years and have seen first hand through my work in DIGG Childrenswear how boys are now leading the way when it comes to style at special events. They are even making Daddy, Uncles and Granda's break out in a sweat that they might need to purchase a new suit in order to keep up with their style.
We are now in full swing of First Communion's and Confirmation's and honestly, I am inundated with gorgeous pictures of boys from all over the country. Here are just a few that I have received. I will continue to share pictures on social media of our customers but wanted to include the first batch of stylish dudes on my blog.
There are no words for how cute this wee man is. Makes me smile from ear to ear. He looks so happy and that's what it's all about. His mummy told me he loved that everyone was telling him how cool he looked and rightly so. Cormac is the epitome of style in his mix and match outfit with his One Varon red checked double-breasted waistcoat making the ultimate style statement. He has the accessory of the season which is the DIGG pocket watch, a keepsake forever that makes every little boy feel like a little gentleman.
What a picture. Definitely one for the wall. Captured beautifully by the amazing Cathy Dwyer from "Our Wildest Days". Cillian looks so stylish in his light blue blazer and navy waistcoat and chinos. It is definitely a huge trend this season to mix and match for Holy Communions and Confirmations and Cillian has nailed this look to perfection. It is no surprise he has an eye for style when his mum is the designer and creator of Beauty and The Bump Maternity.
Ciaràn, Tommy & Dean
I love how DIGG gets all the cousins in for their big day but manages to create different looks for them all. These three cool dudes from Ardboe are everything that DIGG stands for in the fashion stakes. Ciaràn needed no guidance when it came to choosing his outfit. He knew he wanted a tie and blue blazer so we accessorised with blue tie pin and cool little blue sunglasses as a lapel pin. His Blue brogues set the look off perfectly.
Tommy is like a model from the London Catwalk in his Camel Blazer, Burberry inspired bowtie and Hermes inspired belt. This look is timeless and I'm sure he can wear his little blazer with jeans and a t-shirt in the coming months.
Dean chose to wear the forever classic navy velvet blazer which always looks so chic. His mustard floral lapel pin and bow tie give a real edge to the outfit and his camel chinos bring a more summer feel to the whole look.
Three Amigos, I like to call them and I am sure it will be the blink of an eye before I see them again for their Confirmation.
Cilian is so grown up in this picture. I love the picture of him at his local football club. A great Ardboe man you are. The granda shirt is such a cool alternative to a bow tie or tie and to style it with a waistcoat and blazer gives it a very Peaky Blinder look which is currently so on trend.
This one of the first outfits we posted on our social media this season and Kai had spotted it straight away. It takes a brave man to carry off a yellow polka dot tie and burgundy waistcoat but I think you will all agree he wears it with style. His cool haircut and loafer style shoes add to the look and we just think he looks like a wee model. Super cool Kai.
Guys honestly I could keep going. I have hundreds of pictures to share. You need to follow our social media channels to spot all the syle especially our Instagram Stories.
I want to say thank you to all our amazing customers and wish all the best to everyone who still has a big day ahead of them. Such a special time in all of their wee lives and we are so honoured that DIGG has been part of the story.
